Construction Journal was founded in 1996 to fill the industry’s need for better information at the dawn of the Information Age.

The swift growth of the Internet, and the opportunities it provided to deliver project data to those who needed it the most, allowed us to achieve a number of industry firsts. We were the first construction information company to go online with a searchable database, the first to offer web based tracking, and later the first to offer web-based analysis reports that allowed companies to dynamically view the projects they are bidding on, considering, or have been awarded.

Since our founding, we have grown continuously, adding areas of coverage just as we have added and improved the features of our proprietary data system.
