Description | The contractor shall supply all the materials, labor, equipment and all other incidentals necessary to install a completely functional pumping system meeting the following performance criteria for each component: Pump: The centrifugal pump shall be able of delivering 1200 gallons per minute at 60 feet of total head while maintaining a minimum efficiency of 84% while being driven at 1750 revolutions per minute. Drive Engine: The engine shall be a new 2018 diesel engine capable of delivering a minimum shaft horsepower of 21.7 at 1750 revolutions per minute. PTO guard: A clamshell type that is mounted to concrete slab using two posts,free-standing with a latch closure for securing when shaft is spinning large enough to span the entire length of the shaft, constructed of one-quarter-inch iron or material of similar strength. Engine to Pump Coupling: The engine shall be directly coupled to the pump via a drive shaft and have the capability to be easily disengaged from the pump. The drive shaft shall have an easily removable cover that allows for servicing while meeting all federal safety requirements. Hydraulic Connections: The pumping system installation shall include the supply and installation of all fittings and incidentals necessary to attach the pump inlet and outlet into the existing piping system. A pressure gauge shall be installed on the high pressure side of the pump, as part of this Scope of Work. All components and fittings shall be designed to withstand two times the operating pressure of the pumping system, which is 60 pounds per square inch. Product Data Submittals Required: The contractor shall supply the following submittals to the government, for approval, prior to installation: 1. Manufacturer's Pump Performance Curve Data. 2. Manufacturer's Engine Performance Data. 3. Manufacturer's Fitting and Gauge Performance Data. 4. Proof that the installer is a State licensed plumber with a minimum of five years of experience installing similar pumping systems. |
