Description | For furnishing all labor, material, tax, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the Ridgepoint Elementary School Fencing Project, all in accordance with the specifications and working details and other Contract Documents as defined in the General Construction Contract (Contract or Agreement) (Section 00500). The District has established a liquidated damage rate of $1,000.00 per calendar day for each and every calendar day that the work remains fully uncompleted or unaccepted by the District. Board Award of Contract December 13, 2022 Notice of Award December 16, 2022 Notice to Proceed January 06, 2023 Start Date: Construction January 09, 2023 Substantial Completion Date April 28, 2023 Contract Completion (Closeout) July 28, 2023 Prime Contractor bidders shall be required to have a valid Class A or B Contractors License. Bids must be from an appropriately licensed contractor and must be sealed. Interested bidders must be appropriately licensed Each Bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders security: (1) cash; (2) a cashiers check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidders bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. Such bidders security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required performance and payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Within 10 days after notification of the Award of Contract, the successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. The Contract Documents for the Project have many unique requirements. Bidders are cautioned to carefully review all of the Contract Documents prior to submitting a Bid and to obtain pre-Bid clarification of any provision which bidder believes is ambiguous or confusing, as provided for in the Contract Documents. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and further reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids or in the bidding. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractors and subcontractors current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project |
