Description | Site Directions: This project is located at the nortwest corner of exit 64 for Interstate 94, westbound, Dickinson, N.D., 58601 Division 1 - General Requirements * Reference Drawings for Site and Civil Improvement Requirements *(As applicable to this work) In addition to work required by construction documents prepared by Ackerman-Estvold Civil Engineer pages C01 thru C10, this bid package includes but is not limited to the following: Provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and coordination necessary to perform all site clearing and grubbing, Construction Entrance, Erosion control measures, site excavation and grading for building pads, detention ponds, and drainage and landscape and seeding in accordance with the plans and specifications as listed. This bid package includes but is not limited to removing any site conditions shown for removal, clearing & grubbing, rough grading of site, all necessary excavation and backfill to supply, place, grade and compact materials for the building pads, detention ponds, drive areas and parking pads to proper rough grade elevations, and the removal of unsuitable material from the site in a proper manner. Usable topsoil will be stockpiled for installation per the civil notes and plans. This bid package also includes the supply, installation and removal at projects completion a stabilized construction entrance for sediment control to be located per project site improvement plans by Ackerman-Estvold Engineers. This bid package shall minimize dust by sprinkling excavated site with water from subcontractor supplied water truck. This bid package can stockpile material that will be reused on the project, as long as it complies with specified limit's and does not impact owner operations or other trades. Stockpile locations to be at the direction of the Construction Manager/Owner. Stockpile acceptable topsoil on site for installation per the Excavation/ Grading notes. . All debris removal and haul-off of excess spoils are included in this bid package for the above scope of work. This bid package shall include all safety measures necessary to provide an OSHA compliant work site. This bid package will commit to allocating sufficient quantities of labor, material and equipment for this project to meet the construction schedule established by the Construction Manager/ General bid package. This bid package will clean, repair and/or replace any damaged, or marred existing asphalt or concrete surfacing, existing curb and gutter, existing landscape features and existing structures to remain on site due to the damage caused by the activities of this bid package. This bid package does not include: Compacted Aggregate under slab fill to finish grade. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidders Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, including all add alternates, executed by the bidder as principle and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State, conditioned that if the Principle's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to him, her within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of his/ her bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board. Cash, cashier's check or certified checks will not be accepted. If submitting a bid electronically a scanned copy of the bid bond will be accepted w/ the bid on bid day, the bid bond hard copy shall also be submitted mail (it is understood the mailed bid bond will be received after bid day). The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject bids and to hold all bids for a period of 30 days after the date set for opening hereof. |
