RFP Design - A/E Professional Design Services for the New Police Headquarters

The following is a request for proposals for A/E Professional Design Services for the New Police Headquarters at UNM. The University of New Mexico (UNM) is soliciting offers from architectural/engineering firms to furnish, provide, and perform the professional design services as described and identified within this Request for Proposal (RFP) invitation. Please read carefully all instructions, specifications, terms and conditions. Failure to comply with the instructions, specifications, terms and conditions of this RFP may result in your proposal being declared non-responsive The project services will include Site Selection, Programming, Design, and Construction Administration through the warranty period of approximately 10,000 SF, depending on the construction type (new/remodeled), and a site area to accommodate vehicles for police functions and employees. Primary space purposes are Armory, Dispatch Center, Emergency Operations Center, Evidence Room, Records Room, Video Monitoring Area, Briefing/Report Writing Room, Holding Cells, Lost & Found, Conference Area, Offices for officers and staff, Gym and Locker Facilities, Security Personnel Area, and others that the client will define. The project is expected to be completed 27 months after the contract has been awarded. The Project’s total budget, including all hard and soft costs, is $9,000,000. The Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC)/Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for this Project is currently estimated at $6,400,000 which includes contingency and escalation. All interested parties may submit written questions in advance of the conference via the RFP Q&A Board as further described in the Evaluation Criteria. Additional written and oral questions may be submitted at the conference. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
