Description | As of 04/05/2023 Estimated cost is more than $500,000. In general, this request for bids is for services and equipment involved for complete installation of Seal Coat and Traffic Control as outlined in the documents listed in the table of contents. This Project shall consist of the construction of Seal Coat surfaces shall conform to Section 475 of the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2023 Edition. Furnish asphaltic materials for seal coat conforming to Section 455 of the state specifications and the aggregates to be used for base, binder and surface course shall conform to the gradation requirements in 460. The location shall be CTH PF from CTH W (East) to USH 12, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work to be performed are specified in the contract specifications entitled: CTH PF Seal Coat Project . It is required that the work to be done under this contract shall be completed by October 31, 2023 but a contract extension shall be at the discretion of the Highway Commissioner. Time is of the essence regarding the completion deadline, and all other deadlines specified herein. Unless a written extension is granted, all work shall be completed by the end of October 2023. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 10% of the bid price The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond in the contract sum with a corporate surety approved by the Owner (Sauk County). Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including but not limited to evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to. the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest properly responsive, responsible and eligible bidder. Contractors submitting bids must perform at least 50% of the work outlined in the bid documents. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. Sauk County reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the County. |
