Description | The USDA Forest Service (FS), East Zone, has an anticipated requirement to provide and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, and equipment for the removal of existing vault toilets; furnishing and installation of prefabricated precast concrete vault toilet buildings that meet ADA accessibility standards; excavation for building placement; filling void areas from demolition; and backfilling of the new buildings and various other site work as described within the specifications and drawings that will be provided with the Request for Proposals (RFP) Solicitation to follow. Additionally, the Standard Specifications for the Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP-14, U.S. Customary Units shall be included by reference and made a part of the Request for Proposals Solicitation and any resultant contract. The specifications can be obtained from the Federal Highway Administration Home Page on-line at: http://flh.fhwa.dot.gov/resources/pse/specs/ The project is located in the Hiawatha National Forest, Delta County, Michigan. The project is comprised of several areas of Hiawatha National Forest to remove and replace multiple preexisting toilet structures with prefabricated precast concrete toilet vaults. This procurement will be solicited using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 236220-- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $39.5M. A Request for Proposal for this acquisition will be released on or about January 4, 2023 and will close on or about February 3, 2023. It is anticipated that the contract will begin on or about February 13, 2023. This acquisition will be competed as a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. Construction Magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide information to interested parties about potential opportunity to construct new work, additions, alterations, or maintenance and repairs for road and other transportation related repair and construction services. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract.
