| Description | Rust Removal - Remove rust from existing beams and columns by mechanical means, SSPC-SP 3, "Power Tool Cleaning" down to bare metal. Prep surfaces for fireproofing application, including priming. Spray Fireproofing - Provide steel column and beam spray-on fireproofing to achieve 1-HR fire rating. Apply to all exposed steel structure components. Column Protection - Provide high density polyethylene column protectors, 42" high, sized to wrap columns and fireproofing. Protectors shall consist of two-piece assemblies connected by straps. Measure column/fireproofing widths prior to ordering. Install in accordance with manufacturer's printed instructions. At locations where utility lines travel vertically, install so that utility line fits in the gap between components. |
