Description | As of July 26, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Location of Work B.2.1 All work to be done under this Contract is located in the City of Monongahela, Washington County, PA. The Pigeon Creek Pump Station emergency outfall and West Alley CSO diversion structure are situated approximately 3/4 of a mile apart. B.2.2 The Pigeon Creek pump station is located on the river side of Main Street/PA Route 837 near the intersection with Gee Street. The pump station is situated on the south side of Pigeon Creek and the emergency outfall pipe is located on the other side of the stream. B.2.3 The West Alley CSO diversion structure is located on the river side of Main Street, near the railroad tracks. West Alley is situated between 6th Street and 7th Street. MACM H-244080/9-22 This project includes replacement of an emergency outfall pipe with endwall at the Pigeon Creek pump station site and installation of a check valve at the West Alley CSO diversion structure. Plans and specifications are on file at the office of the Authority, 521 West Main Street, Monongahela, PA 15063 and at the office of Hatch Associates Consultants, Inc., 1600 West Carson Street, Suite 1, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. A certified check payable to the Municipal Authority of the City of Monongahela or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidders entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Work under the aforementioned Contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (1961 August 15, PL 987; P.S. 165) and subsequent amendments.
