Description | This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price to purchase Evoqua deionized water system, with EVOQUA. The Clinical Center requires Evoqua's deionized water system to obtain consistent, high-purity water from potable feed water. Evoqua's reliable SDI system consists of activated carbon and ion exchange resin contained in portable tanks connected directly to the clinical centers tap water supply as well as a double filtration system. Evoqua's service deionization also conserves the water and energy resources because there is no major capital investment or handling of chemicals. In order to prolong the life of the surgical instruments and prevent surgical site infections in patients this system is required. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, December 05, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Noelle DeCenzo, Contract Specialist, Noelle.decenzo@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. |
