Bids received after the stated time will not be accepted. SCOPE OF WORK: This project involves installation of drainage for and paving of Old Jack Road in Hilda, SC. The Old Jack Road project will include the installation of 81 feet of 18 RCP, 120 feet of 24 RCP, and four SCDOT Type 9 catch basins. This project will also pave Old Jack Road (3,466 ft). The pavement width is 25 ft (two 11 ft driving lanes with two 1.5 ft valley gutters). Tying the valley gutters to the catch basins will also be required. Paving of six (6) driveways is also included in this project (nominally 12 ft wide, 15 ft long with 10 ft radii, except as shown on the plans). This project also includes all grade work required to reach the required grade and excavation of the drainage outfall. Installation of bi-directional raised pavement markers (yellow) and the painting of two STOP bars are included in this project. Traffic management during paving will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. Signage, including construction signage, and erosion control protection will be performed by the CONTRACTOR. Utilities (power, water meters, and telephone pedestals) will need to be relocated. While these utilities will actually be relocated by the respective utility companies, the CONTRACTOR shall coordinate their relocation in conjunction with construction activities. The Barnwell County Engineering Office will oversee this project. All reinforced concrete pipe will be Class IV. The pipe lengths given are based on nominal lengths. Add appropriate length to allow for catch basin or junction box wall thickness. This project includes excavation for the pipe installation, including the excavation for tail ditch construction and/or improvement. The Contractor shall be responsible for erosion control measures for the drainage system during installation. |
