Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Department in the Highway-Bike Paths or Highway-Construction category to bid on the above project This project is subject to the schedule of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Division of Occupational Safety, and the United States Department of Labor. Plans will be on display and information will be available at the MassDOT Boston Office and at the District Office in TAUNTON. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Regulations, hereby affirmatively ensures that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all bidders, including disadvantaged business enterprises, will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin in consideration for an Award. This Proposal contains the "STANDARD FEDERAL EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS (EXECUTIVE ORDER 11246)". The goals and timetables applicable to this proposal for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the Contractor's aggregate work force in each trade on all work, are contained in Appendices A and B-80 of the above specifications. The Contractor (hereinafter includes consultants) will comply with the Acts and Regulations relative to Non-discrimination in Federally assisted programs of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), as they may be amended from time to time, which are herein incorporated by reference and made a part of this Contract as contained in Appendices C and D of the above specifications A Proposal Guaranty in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid is required.
