Description | PROJECT LOCATION: Fountain Creek Township, Sec. 3, T.24N, R13W 2P.M., inlet in SE4 S of Village & E of 1600E Road, thence running north under RR to the E of Village, and outletting in Whiskey Creek ditch. TIMING: Project contingent on court approval, 70 ILCS 605/4-16; work to begin and end Summer 2023; crop will be standing, crop damages to be paid by District. PROJECT DETAILS: Install approx. 2155 ft. of 30-inch Dual Wall drainage tile in rock bedding; connect inlet to existing main; install outlet - headwall & culvert with rip rap; connect tiles as encountered; level and clean RR bed at crossing. INSURANCE: Contractors must carry general liability insurance and name District as additional insured for the project. PREVAILING WAGE: This project involves "public works" as defined by IL Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01 et. sec); contractors and subcontractors must comply with said Act. The Drainage District has adopted the prevailing wage rates as determined by the IL Dept. of Labor, as from time to time amended. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: Local contractors will be given preference due to ARPA funding requirements. Commissioners may reject any and all bids, may waive any informality in bids received, and may continue the letting from time to time. Commissioners may accept any bid they deem most favorable. If the bid accepted is not the lowest bid, they shall enter in their minutes their reason for not accepting the lower bid(s). If any person to whom a contract has been let, after notice, fails to perform his contract, the same may be re-let in such a manner as the Commissioners deem best, with or without advertisement for bids. |
