Description

As of February 28, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids for the following work: CONTRACT 26-0 100 Electrical Bid packages - Complete line and low voltage electrical systems for the renovation of a 45,000 sqft building. Low voltage work, as qualified in this booklet, are listed under alternate bid items. Location- 407 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley SED PROJECT CONTROL NUMBER #58-02-32-03-6-007-010 Please deliver checks to the Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library at the MASTIC BEACH ANNEX - Temporary Business Office Trailer, Attn: Business Office, 369 Neighborhood Road, Mastic Beach, NY 11951 from , 10;00 AM to 3:30 PM daily except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. A Bid security in the amount of 5% of the base Bid (for Bid Bond), or 5% of the base Bid maximum of $5,000 (for Bid security provided by check) is required. Each Bidder must indicate the seg ments) of the contract that will be completed by the Bidder itself and which segment(s) by subcontractors. Only the registered Bidder will be permitted to submit a Bid. A Bid may be rejected in the interest of the Owner based on the extent of proposed delegation of the perfor mance of the contract to subcontractors and/or based on the level of qualification and experience of the Bidder or proposed subcontractors. Any Bids received later than the prescribed date and hour will be rejected. The Mastics Moriches Shirley Com munity Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids submitted in the best inter ests of the Owner and to waive any informality in any Bid and shall further make awards in any manner it deems advisable inthe best inter ests ofthe Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library. The successful Bidder shall be required to execute a formal contract with the Mastics Moriches Shirley Community Library. Each Bidder shall agree to hold its Bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal Bid opening All line voltage work, including the following: o Conduit, wiring, terminations for all HVAC, other mechanical equipment and components and electric equipment and devices and equipment shown on the plans o Saw cutting, concrete removals, trenching, backfill/compaction, vapor barrier, and patching of concrete slabs for all slab on grade floor boxes and any other under slab work required to complete the work of this contract o Roof penetrations as required Electrical Service work including the following: o Disconnect existing primaries to existing transformer, PSEG to remove transformer and set aside o Remove existing vault cover o Provide new secondary feeders within existing conduit runs already routed to main electrical room (sizes per E-600) o Vault cover to be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise resulting in transformer doors facing east o PSEG to reinstall transformer o Electrical Contractor (EC) to terminate existing primaries and new secondaries All electrical (line and low voltage) work required for the operation of the I/A new sanitary waste disposal system as described or implied on Dwg C 1-0, including conduit, trenching, cabling, terminations, etc. Electrical Contractor to provide power to control panel from disconnect, and power pumps from control panel. Power and switching to the existing sewerage ejection pump in Mech Room C 07. Feed power from 35/37/38 in panel M2. Power to existing ejector pump in Mechanical room B12 to be fed from 20A spare from panel RB. Provide power to EWH5 in rooms 112 and 113. Provide power to EWH4 in room 137. Power and switching to existing book lift controls/motor. 208 3 phase 30 amp to be fed from MDP panel. Change one of the 20/3 spare breakers into 30/3. Provide dedicated 20amp receptacle within hot box enclosure located on North elevation of building outside door 125A. Provide disconnect of office trailer and removal of 200 amp temporary service in the NW corner of the site at the end of the project when directed by PM. Provide removal of the temporary 400 amp service in SE corner of site once permanent power to the building has been established. Provide all rigging/modifications to the new switch gear as required to place within electrical room.
