Landfill Maintenance FY 2020

Provide grass cutting/road clearing services at the County’s landfill. A grass cutting event constitutes cutting grass at both sites, Morgan Falls and Merk Miles,on the same day. This quote is for seven (7) grass cutting events. 1. Merk Miles Facility:3225 Merk Road, College Park,GA 30349, which is located four(4) miles southwest of the intersection of Campbellton Road and I-285 off Merk Road in College Park.The Merk Mile landfill sitehas approximately seventy (70) acres of area that requires cutting. Some of the areas to be cut are on extremely steep slopes and will require a skid steer or other tracked equipment; a wheeled bush hog cannot be safely used on many areas at this site. Dumping in the structure is prohibited. 2.Morgan Falls Facility: 460 Morgan Falls Road, Sandy Springs, GA 30350, which is located approximately a half (1/2) mille west of Roswell Road on Morgan Falls Road.The Morgan Falls landfill site has a single accessroad of less than ten (10) acres in area, however, much of the sides slopes are extremely steep and has a large amount of surface that contains rip rap and large rocks, which requires a large portion of the road to be cut manually. This work will, also, require clearing of brush and vegetation around a small retaining wall/sedimentation pond structure. Dumping in the structure is prohibited.
