Description | The work will include a complete replacement of all devices. Project will replace the existing TekTone300 system which is obsolete and no longer serviceable with the current TekTone model P5 series system that can integrate with our existing patient beds and the newly acquired Vocera communication system. Work shall include but is not limited to: Removal of existing devices (Master Stations, Bathroom Stations, Bed Stations, Shower Stations, Call Lights, and pillow speakers). Do not abandon any out of service nurse call devices or infrastructure in place. Reuse of conduit systems that are in a condition and location to be reused. Final determination will be made with the contractor and COR. Where conduit does not exist or cannot be reused, contractor will provide new colored conduit with insulated throats and any accessories/fittings necessary for a complete installation. New wiring as required for the upgraded system. Wiring may be reused if tested and certified as the correct type and of acceptable condition per the manufacturer. Installation of new devices to include. Manufacturer/Model to be Tektone Series P5. Reporting for 100 devices Tek-Care Connectivity License Handset and cradle for master Desk mount for master P5 Central Equipment Tek-Care Appliance Server 22 Station touch screen Network Switch, 8-port Duty Station Staff station Single pt station Pillow speaker module Bed Receptacle Bath/EM call stations Pillow speaker with TV Strain Relief Cable 4-LED corridor lights Splitter Power Delay Mode Master Station Wiring and misc. accessories Programming as needed Technician for installation and training Provide drawings for each wing indicating number of devices and approximate device locations in each room. Patching of walls as required due to varying device sizes and conduit installation. Painting of walls after patching is completed. Paint to match adjacent wall colors. If color matched paint cannot be obtained, then contractor will paint the wall from corner to corner with approved color from current VA color pallet. Replace any ceiling tiles damaged by the installation process. Infection control requirements in each location. This includes sticky mats, zip-wall plastic dust containment barrier, wet-mopping, and removal of debris in covered carts. Refer to spec for IC permit. Only 3 beds can be out of service for contractor activities at any given point in time without prior written approval of the COR. Contractor will provide materials submittal for review and approval by the COR and CO of all materials to be used/installed on campus. Contractor to provide 2 hard copy O&M manuals with one CD per book with digital copy. O&M manual will include individual VA new equipment form for all 100 reporting devices, Master stations, Central Equipment, Server, Touch Screen, Network Switch, Duty Station, Staff Station, Pillow Speaker, Call Station, and Corridor Light. Contractor will provide two; 2-hour long training sessions for medical staff one session upon completion of each wing of the system. Provide one 4-hour training for FMS staff separate from medical staff on the overall system. |
