Ridge Road PRV Project

The project consists of installing a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) facility along Ridge Road (SR2026) in Centerville Borough, Washington County. The intent is to establish a redundant connection point to safely and reliably supply the service areas of Low Hill, Denbeau, and Malden, including critical customers in the California Technology Park. The PRV facility will be fed by the higher pressure Richeyville zone. It will consist of installation of: 1) an in-ground pre-cast concrete vault (12’ x 6’); 2) roughly 35 feet of 6” DI water main and associated fittings with mega-lug restraining joints; 3) a 6” Cla-Val pressure reducing valve (with 2” Cla-Val pilot system); 4) sudden pressure relief and drain system; 5) a 6” magnetic flow meter; 6) various vault appurtenances (lighting, ventilation, and sump pump); and 7) exterior electric meter and RTU cabinet. Associated site work will include localized traffic control, fence removal/replacement, excavation, backfill, compaction, excess soils hauling/disposal, re-grading and seeding, and potential asphalt pavement restoration.
