Description | The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications and shown on the Plans. Manhole Rehabilitation, if and where directed 100 VF 9. Sanitary Manhole Bench and Invert Repair 13 UN 10. Sealing of Sanitary Manhole Casting/Manhole Interface 13 UN 11. Removal of Existing Manhole Steps 110 UN 12. Sealing and Repair of Sanitary Sewer Lateral Connections 62 UN 13. Reestablish Lateral Connections 62 UN 14. TV Inspection of 12" Sanitary Sewer Main 500 LF 15. TV Inspection of 10" Sanitary Sewer Main 1,300 LF 16. Uniformed Police Traffic Directors AL Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Borough of Totowa, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Borough of Totowa for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place and on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned within three days after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond, Saturday, Sundays and Holidays excepted. This contract is subject to the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et. seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, Affirmative Action Regulations. This contract is subject to U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Block Grant Program Regulations, and Federal Labor Standards Provisions. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this Contract. The Contract Documents contain requirements addressing Prevailing Labor Wage Rates, Labor Standards, Nondiscrimination in Hiring Practices, Goals for Minority and Female Participation, MBE and WBE Participation, and related matters. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THIS IS A SECTION 3 PROJECT OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1968, AND, TO THE GREATEST EXTENT FEASIBLE, OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT MUST BE GIVEN TO LOW AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS RESIDING WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA; AND THE PROJECT MUST UTILIZE BUSINESSES LOCATED IN OR OWNED IN SUBSTANTIAL PART BY PERSONS RESIDING WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA. Sealed bids for this project are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq.
