Description | As of March 2023, this project is in design. A firm timeline to construction has not been established. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. ---- The project consists of installation of permanent sewer connections in the RV Campgrounds at approximately nine Louisiana State Parks: Bayou Segnette, Chicot, Fontainebleau, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bistineau, North Toledo Bend, Palmetto Island, Sam Houston Jones, and Tickfaw. There are approximately 570 RV Campground sites that will receive the permanent sewer connections. The scope also includes, but is not limited to, installation of sewer lift stations, piping, trenching, etc. as necessary for a functional system. This project is funded by a Federal Grant Award from the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) and will require Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations and other reporting requirements. All State Parks involved will remain operational during design and construction. The Designer shall prepare and submit all required drawings to Facility Planning & Control in AutoCAD and hard copy. This project consists of the design of a vehicular and pedestrian bridge to connect the Pilots Point Apartments (LSU-Shreveport's housing) with the main LSU-Shreveport campus. The bridge is anticipated to be approximately 150 feet long and will accommodate automobile and foot traffic to and from the student housing that lies beyond a municipal drainage canal. The existing wooden pedestrian crossing will be removed. The Designer is responsible for complete engineering to include applicable codes, standards, permits, sizing, etc. as required to result in a functional project. The Designer shall prepare and submit all required drawings to Facility Planning & Control in AutoCAD and hard copy. Drawings shall follow the format specified in the "Instructions to Designers for AutoCAD Drawings Submittal". This project consists of a new generator installation, including but not limited to, automatic transfer switch, associated utilities infrastructure and electrical riser modifications, remote monitoring, security fencing, and weather resistant/sound reducing enclosure in order to provide 100% campus-wide standby emergency electrical service. Design shall consider the use of natural gas as the preferred alternative to diesel fuel to power the generator(s). Designer shall be responsible for conducting a detailed assessment of the electrical demand load and sizing the new generator(s) and automatic transfer switch as well as address operational programming and any necessary modifications to the existing electrical service riser to accommodate the generator installation. Design shall also account for the reuse of the existing diesel generator as a redundant standby power source for the critical building systems that it currently serves. Site placement shall take into consideration proximity to the existing main electrical service, nuisance exhaust and sound transmission to adjacent buildings, and convenience of access in order to facilitate routine maintenance. Design and construction and the logistics of site access, staging, and personnel clearances shall be coordinated with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Acadiana facility staff. The facility will remain operational for the duration of the project. The Designer shall prepare and submit all required drawings to Facility Planning & Control in AutoCAD and hard copy. Drawings shall follow the format specified in the "Instructions to Designers for AutoCAD Drawings Submittal". The date and time the e-mail is received in the Microsoft Outlook Inbox at Facility Planning & Control shall govern compliance with the deadline for e-mailed applications. Timely delivery by whatever means is strictly the responsibility of the applicant. By e-mailing an application the applicant assumes full responsibility for timely electronic delivery. DO NOT submit both printed and e-mail copies. The funds available for construction are approximately $2,895,500.00 with a fee of approximately $231,004.00.
