Removal of Asbestos-Containing Materials and Associated Demolition Related to the Food Service Building Project

Qualified asbestos abatement contractors to furnish labor and material for the removal of asbestos-containing materials and associated demolition related to the Food Service Building Project at the former Berwyn Community Development Center, 6420 West 16th Street, Berwyn, Illinois 60402. Pre-qualification of all bidders in this bid group is required prior to the contractor walk through (pre-bid meeting) date. Submit one fully executed copy of AIA Document A305 "Contractor's Qualification Statement" prior to the contractor walk through (pre-bid meeting) via email to William Burns at wburns@rcminc.com. The contractor shall submit the AIA Document 305 by no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022. FAILURE TO PROVIDE ANY OF THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IN THE CONTRACTORS QUALIFICATION STATEMENT ABOVE WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF THE CONTRACTOR. Each bid shall be contained in a sealed envelope conspicuously marked "Bid for asbestos abatement work for the Food Service Building Project at the Former Berwyn Community Development Center" and endorsed with the bidder's name. After the bids have been tabulated and studied, they will be presented to the Board for award to the lowest responsive bidder. District #98 reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts thereof, or to reject any and all bids submitted by the pre-qualified bidders, and to waive any informalities, technicalities and irregularities in the bidding. BIDS FROM PARTIES WHO HAVE NOT SUBMITTED PRE-QUALIFICATION PACKETS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The decision on all pre-qualification matters shall be final and not subject to challenge. The Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and County/Local laws and regulations. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Bidders shall comply with all provisions and laws of the United States and State of Illinois concerning Public Works projects including but not limited to the Illinois Human Rights Act, and the regulations of the Illinois Human Rights Commission.
