RFP Engineering - Rolland Moore Ballfield Lighting Design

The City of Fort Collins is requesting proposals from qualified Service Providers/Professionals to design the replacement system for the Rolland Moore ballfield complex original two ballfield lighting systems, improve electrical systems and pedestrian/parking lighting down the main walkway to the parking lot. The park was built in 1983 and lighting for two of the fields was replaced in 2018. Upgrading the remaining two fields will provide continuity of services. This is the most frequently scheduled ballfield complex in the Fort Collin's system with recent years' bookings of over 600, and 3,407 hours of events and an attendance of 30,000 people. The lighting design for the Rolland Moore Ballfields located in the City of Fort Collins must meet requirements from the Fort Collins Lighting Ordinance and IES RP-6-20 (IES Recommended Practice Sports and Recreational Lighting). The fields to be designed are Fields 1 and 2. Fields 3 and 4 were recently renovated in 2018 and comply with the requirements stated below, aside from the uplighting. Field lighting aimed upward, including balltracker lighting, shall be controlled separately from downward-directed lighting. Uplights will be assessed by the City of Fort Collins to determine their necessity for ball play.
