Solid Waste Collections Collection

The Borough of McAdoo will receive sealed bids for the collection and disposal of garbage, ash, recyclables, rubbish and bulk items. Bids are to include one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4) or five (5) year periods. The contract consists of the weekly collection and disposal of garbage, ash, recyclables, rubbish and bulk items from approximately 1,100 residential/nonresidential units and public facilities. Sealed bids must be submitted and addressed to the Borough of McAdoo, Diane Minneci, Secretary, at 23 North Hancock Street, McAdoo, PA 18237. Bids must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope marked BID FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION. The Borough assumes no responsibility for bids mailed but not received. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond from a reputable company licensed to issue bonds in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted payable to "Borough of McAdoo". Awards shall be made only to a responsible contractor that possesses the potential to perform successfully under the terms and conditions as set forth in the bid specifications. The Borough does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, physical/mental ability or family status in employment or the provision of services. The Borough reserves the right to reject any bids submitted or to waive informalities in the bidding process.
