The Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction . By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. The improvement includes rehabilitation of sanitary sewer main located between ML King Jr. Parkway and the Raccoon River near S.W. 16th Street. The work includes trenchless sanitary sewer rehabilitation of approximately 3,630 linear feet of existing 78-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), trenchless sanitary sewer structure rehabilitation, manhole adjustments, flow diversion, sewer cleaning and debris disposal, pre-rehabilitation sewer inspection, traffic control, minor pavement repairs, surface restoration, and other incidental items; all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File No. 640-200/2014, all in Des Moines, Iowa. This project shall be fully completed not later than April 1, 2023.
