Description | As of July 7, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The HVAC Lab Expansion remodels 6,500 gsf of existing interior building space at Hennepin Technical College - Brooklyn Park Campus. The project includes minor demolition and remodeling of existing space for a new HVAC program lab, and the relocation of the Electronics program lab. The project includes related plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire and sprinkler modifications for the remodeled area. Site Directions: Park in the visitor parking lot for pre-bid meeting Pre-Qualification: Yes THE PROJECT COVERS RENOVATION OF INTERIOR BUILDING SPACE OF APPROXIMATELY 6,500 SQUARE FEET, INCLUDING MINOR DEMOLITION AND RELATED MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORK. THE HVAC LAB/SHOP PROGRAM WILL EXTEND TO AND REMODEL THE EXISTING ADJACENT ELECTRONICS LAB/SHOP AREA, ROOMS D170-174. THE ELECTRONICS LAB/SHOP WILL RELOCATE AND REMODEL ROOMS E150-154 AND D176. The Contractor shall also set in place and provide all mechanical and electrical power connections for furnaces, condensing units and heat pumps furnished by the OWNER. B. The Work covers construction and completion of the Project as shown on the Drawings and as specified in the Project Manual. The work shall be sequenced to complete construction in the Phase 1A and Phase 1B work areas noted on the drawings. C. Prime Contractor under a direct contract with the Owner will complete all Work. D. Overall coordination of the Project will be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor. E. The Owner will occupy the adjacent existing facilities and be conducting regular programs during the entire time of the Project. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to maintain the existing Owner's activities and cooperate with the Owner in all construction Work to minimize conflict with Owner program requirements. 1.02 SCOPE A. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, transportation, apparatus and tools necessary for the entire proper completion of this Work: and shall install, maintain and remove all equipment for the proper execution of the Contract, and shall be responsible for the safe, proper and lawful performance of their equipment, maintenance use of the same, and shall perform in the best manner, and everything properly incidental thereto, as stated in the Contract Documents or reasonably implied therein. |
