| Description | The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of a boardwalk located at Millennium Park (1415 Maynard Avenue SW, Walker, MI 49534.) 1. Contractor shall remove all existing decking, handrails, and handrail posts and replace with all new materials including hardware. 2. Contractor is to take measurements and notes of existing width, post spacing, rail configuration prior to demolition. 3. Once decking is removed, inspection of underlying joists, blocking, and beams shall take place with KCPD to determine the need for replacement or refurbishment. Inspections can be done incrementally with deck replacement. 4. All blocking shall be brought to the standards as shown on the detail. Any missing blocking to be replaced, loose blocking shall be reinforced. 5. Any rotten or damaged joists shall be replaced. | ||||
