Description

Location: Royston Road – 2,000 feet south of Five Point Hwy, Brookfield/Hamlin Township. Remove and dispose of existing concrete box culvert. Install 54 feet long, 16.5 feet span x 6.7 feet rise, multi-plate aluminum box culvert with a headwall and wingwalls. Refer to the shop drawings for the culvert to be installed. Box culvert materials will be supplied to the jobsite by the Eaton County Road Commission (ECRC). The contractor is responsible for unloading the culvert materials from the delivery truck. The delivery and unloading shall be coordinated with the material supplier. The approximate culvert depth is 9 feet from the road centerline to the invert. The work includes assembling the multiplate aluminum box culvert, excavation, water control, placing culvert bedding, placing the multiplate aluminum box culvert, backfilling, assembling and installing the headwalls and wingwalls, compacting, placing aggregate base to match the existing road surface, installing riprap, slope restoration, and erosion control within requirements of DEQ permit. The HMA surface will be placed by the Eaton County Road Commission.
