Rehabilitation of Lift Stations 1, 2, and 3 This project will be partially funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and as such Bidders must consider the compliance requirements contained in the Federally-Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement, Agreement Number H0243, between the City of Dania Beach and the Florida Division of Emergency Management. All submissions will remain confidential and exempt from public record disclosure requirements until the response opening is conducted. Any interpretations, clarifications or additional information not disclosed in this Bid and determined to be necessary by the Owner in response to questions, will be issued by means of addendum or addenda, which addendum or addenda will be posted to the City site. The successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond for One Hundred Ten percent (110%) of the contract price made payable to the City of Dania Beach, Florida, within fourteen (14) days of notification of the award of the agreement. All bid prices shall be guaranteed firm for a minimum of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the submission of the bid. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. Pursuant to Florida law, all Bids are exempt public records until thirty (30) days after opening, or award of bid, whichever is sooner. In the event presentations are necessary, all non-presenting bidders will be required to exit the room during the presentations of each of the other bidders as portions of selection committee meetings at which presentations are made are exempt from Florida's public meeting laws. A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check, or bid bond for Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), made payable to the City of Dania Beach shall accompany each proposal. All bidders are advised that the City has not authorized the use of the City seal by individuals or entities responding to City bids. Bidders shall demonstrate successful performance of projects of a similar magnitude, scope and value as this project. The City Commission of the City of Dania Beach reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid and to make an award in the best interests of the City, as Owner. The three (3) lift stations associated with this project are located as follows: 1. Lift Station #1 - 50 SE 2nd Avenue, Dania Beach, FL Latitude 26.051436, Longitude -80.141779 2. Lift Station #2 - 400 SE 2nd Avenue, Dania Beach, FL Latitude 26.043996, Longitude -80.141271 3. Lift Station #3 - 1,200 SE 2nd Avenue, Dania Beach, FL Latitude 26.037217, Longitude -80.141271 B. Bidder shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to demolish the existing submersible wastewater lift station including controls and emergency generator as applicable and install a new submersible wastewater lift station with control systems and emergency generator at each location. The project will include, but is not limited to, all demolition, lift station installation, controls, SCADA, electrical, flow meter vault, gravity sewer, sanitary manholes, force main piping and fittings, start-up services, training, site restoration, associated roadway and right-of-way restoration, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete and accepted project. Construction of this project will require close coordination with the Owner and Engineer.
