| Description | The project will be located in Miami-Dade County, State of Florida and consists of the development of a corridor under the Metrorail guideway that will enhance connectivity, mobility and pedestrian/biking safety for Miami- Dade residents and visitors. This phase of the project will be located along SW 7th Street, SW 8th Street, and SW 13th Street. Construction services are required for Phase 1 - The Underline - "The Brickell Backyard" project which consists of a half mile long segment below the Metrorail guideway creating pedestrian and bicycle paths and various amenities as described below: - River Area: This area complements the existing Miami River Greenway Path and creates an area with native planting, grassy mounds covered and seating areas. This area is being designed as a dog friendly area. - Dining Area: A designed dining area with tables accessible to bus and trolley patrons waiting for their rides. - Game Area: Designed game area with several game tables. - Gym Area: An active recreation space with flexible programming for group classes and other fitness activities. - Oolite Area: A naturalized area that highlights and carves out seating areas and native garden within the existing stone outcrops. - Bike Area: Large parking lot for bicycles nestled between the bicycle and pedestrian paths. This segment transverses three FDOT intersections which are SW 7th St., SW 8th St., and SW 13th street. This Phase 1 of the Underline project consists of a half mile long segment below the Metrorail; however, once all phases are completed, the Underline project will be a 10-mile linear mobility corridor below the Metrorail. Phase 1 includes for following Alternates: Gym Structure, Bike Room and Custom Underline Bike Rack. Miami-Dade County reserves the right to award this Contract, if awarded, to either the responsive and responsible Bidder with the lowest Base Bid Total or to the responsive and responsible Bidder with the lowest sum of the Base Bid Total and any, none or all of the Alternates, at Miami- Dade County`s sole discretion. | ||||||||
