Description | Project no.50355 All questions and requests for information regarding the project must be submitted through Public Purchase on the project link. Responses to questions will be distributed to plan holders via Public Purchase. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted five (5) business days prior to bid opening Question Deadline 01/21/2024 GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION The Project will generally construct: o A 1.2-mile Class I bicycle and pedestrian facility along the Esplanade between East 11th Avenue and Memorial Way o Class III bike boulevard improvements along Oleander Avenue between East 10th Avenue and Memorial Way o A roundabout at the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Memorial Way. The work to be done will generally consist of: o clearing and grubbing o construction surveying o roadway excavation o aggregate base o asphalt paving o slurry seal o concrete paving o new traffic signals o traffic signal modifications o street lighting o striping and markings roadway signs o landscaping o fencing o and all other work as shown on the contract plans. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer made payable to the City of Chico for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. At the time the City awards the contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. This project requires the payment of prevailing wage rates to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. The DBE Contract goal is 22%. The Project has 260 Working Days. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. |
