The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina announces the anticipated release of Solicitation Number FA480322R0002 being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). All applicable provision and clauses will be included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the pre-solicitation notice. Brief description of work: - This contract is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, alteration, and minor construction projects to real property at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The work is required in support of Base Civil Engineer activities at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, and Wateree Recreation Area. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and shall encompass a wide variety of individual construction tasks as listed in the R.S. Means(R) Construction Task Catalog (e4 Clicks(R)). The basic contract period shall be twelve months, with six 12-month option periods, which may also be awarded as the unilateral right of the Government. The government reserves the right to award an additional 6 month period at the end of the contract, if needed. Place of performance: Shaw Air Force Base, Poinsett Weapons Range, and Wateree Recreation Facility, South Carolina Tentative Dates: RFP: Will be available on or about 27 June 2022 Proposal Due Date: Will be on or about 28 July2022. The issuance of the RFP will be the driver of the Proposal Due Date. Once RFP is released Proposal Due will be detailed within the RFP. Completing Contract Performance: The IDIQ Base Year will be for a period of twelve (12) months, with six (6) twelve (12)-month option periods. Government reserves the unilateral right to exercise each Option period. The government reserves the right to award an additional 6 month period at the end of the contract, if needed. Plans: Any plans associated with the Seed Project for the IDIQ will be provided when the RFP is posted. Set Aside: The RFP once issued will be set-aside to Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms; all others will be deemed non-responsible. Contract award will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable - FAR Part 15. In accordance with FAR Part 14.408-1(a); award will be made to the responsible awardee whose proposal, conforming to the RFP, will be the best value to the Government, considering only price and price-related factors included in the request for porposal. SITE VISIT: Government intends to hold a site visit. Details will be provided once RFP is issued. The Request for Proposal will be available by Electronic Transmission only at: https://beta.sam.gov. Payment for task orders issued against this acquisition will be made through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) System.
