Description

Oregon State University ("OSU" and/or "Owner") is conducting a competitive Invitation to Bid (ITB) process to retain one (1) firm to provide construction services for the remodel of rooms 2026 and 2012, as well as constructing a new single use restroom on the first floor. In the Kelley Engineering Center on the Oregon State University Corvallis campus (the "Project"). Minor remodels of two dry lab rooms on the 2nd floor and a minor partial remodel on the first floor of Kelley Engineering Center. Provide construction services in support of a remodel of rooms 2026 and 2012 on the second floor of Kelley Engineering Center. In addition, add a single use restroom on the first floor. The rooms contemplated by this Project will not be available until October 16, 2023, however, Contractor may begin work on submittals and other preconstruction tasks before this date, contingent on a fully executed Supplement. OSU is seeking Bids only from firms accepted into OSU's 2019-2023 Construction Related Services Reserve Contracting Program. It is located within the "Engineering Triangle". Completed in 2005, the Kelley Engineering building was the first building on OSU's campus - and one of the first in the state - to earn green certification. Planned "green" features of the building included: a large glass atrium to bring in natural light and ventilate interior space; a courtyard water feature; low toxicity finishes and flooring; and a planted eco-roof. The four story, 146,000 square foot structure was built to house the programs of computer science, and electrical and computer engineering, and includes laboratory and research, instruction, and office spaces.
