Pershing Road Sewer Improvement

VBE Contract Specific Goal: 0.77% The work for which proposals are invited consists of sewer improvements on E. Pershing Rd. from S. Giles Ave. to S. Cottage Grove Ave. This includes but is not limited to: the installation of 16 linear feet of 36-inch internal diameter reinforced concrete pipe, 8 linear feet of 30-inch internal diameter reinforced concrete pipe, 3,168 linear feet of 24-inch internal diameter reinforced concrete pipe, manholes, catch basins; the construction of new connections to existing sewers; the construction of concrete collar connections; and the installation of drain connections. Additionally, work under this contract includes: site mobilization; providing traffic control and protection; capping and/or abandonment of the existing sewer mains; all required excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling and compaction of excavations; restoration of pavement, curbs, walkways, landscaped areas; and removal of all construction debris, as described in the Detailed Specifications, including all appurtenant work and accessories, to the complete satisfaction of, approval and acceptance by the City
