Description

The new generators and switch gears will be housed at the rear of the facility on an existing concrete pad. The use of natural gas on the new generators will provide a never-ending source of fuel for the detention center in situations of long-term power outages. 1. (2) 500kw Natural Gas Generators 2. Permits 3. Demo of existing electrical components needed for project completion (see notes below) 4. Demo of existing sidewalk, curb, and asphalt 5. Wiring and conduit 6. Boxes and fittings 7. Straps and Supports 8. New 1600amp Paralleling Switchgear 9. New 1600amp Switchboard/MCC for Interior Distribution 10. Trenching and backfilling 11. Concrete pad for generators 12. New SWGR pad for service equipment 13. Crane to set new generators 14. Temporary generator and cabling to feed SWBR’s during installation of new service equipment 15. Concrete and asphalt repair as needed 16. Natural Gas Piping (see notes below) 17. Duct bank for roadway crossings 18. Site grounding with exothermic welds 19. Labeling and testing 20. Startup
