Description

Project Number - FEI22AL409, 620673, 23-2522-4JOK-AVR The Work consists of the multi-phase renovation and expansion of the Virginia Randolph Campus. The Work is a phased and occupied project with existing building remaining occupied and in use during the course of construction. Eight campus building will be demolished over the course of the project phases as indicated on Drawing A1.0.0. Remaining buildings will be renovated including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, finishes, casework, technology and accessibility. Two additions include approximately 83,000 square feet of new construction connected one existing and remaining campus building and approximately 11,200 square feet of new construction added to the existing career and technical education building at the rear of the site. New construction systems include mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, load-bearing masonry walls, steel structural systems, interior masonry partitions, interior drywall partitions, finishes, casework and instructional technology. Site work includes site reconfiguration, stormwater management, new bus loop, new staff and visitor parking and landscaping. The project location is 2204 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Bids must be accompanied by either a cashier's check or certified check or bidder's bond (AIA 310) in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid (Lump Sum) Amount and made payable to the County of Henrico, Virginia. If a contract is awarded, a separate performance bond and a payment bond AIA Document A312 (2010), for 100% of the contract amount, including any additions and/or deductions, shall be provided by the Successful Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and/or reject all bids. In accordance with Va. Code, Section 2.2-4319, the Owner shall not reject all bids solely to avoid awarding a contract to a particular responsive and responsible bidder. This paragraph does not extend the time by which Bidders must ask substantive questions or interpretations about the Bidding Documents as provided in the Instructions to Bidders It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed will be issued within forty-five (45) days of the Receipt of Bids. The Work shall be Substantially Complete and certified by the Architect by August 14, 2024. Final Completion of all Work shall be within 30 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
