Description

Qualified engineering firms (Consultant) to provide engineering design and installation services for an Automated Data Acquisition System (ADAS) for the Upper Highline and Heart Lake Dams located in Mesa and Garfield Counties, respectively (Project). This project involves two CPW dam project locations – Upper Highline Dam and Heart Lake Dam. Upper Highline Dam (DAMID: 720234, impounds Highline Reservoir) is located in Highline Lake State Park, in Water Division 5, District 72. Upper Highline Dam is located at an elevation of about 4,700 feet above sea-level and is approximately 9 miles northwest of Fruita, CO in Mesa County. Heart Lake Dam (DAMID: 530112, impounds Heart Lake) is located in the White River National Forest, in Water Division 5, District 53. Heart Lake Dam is located at an elevation of about 10,700 feet above sea-level and is approximately 16 miles northwest of Dotsero, CO in Garfield County. The dams are owned and operated by CPW for recreational purposes. Both dams currently impound a reservoir that is maintained at normal operating pool and the outlet works are in functional condition.
