Construction of the Aeration Piping Replacement

2. Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of the removal, abandonment, and replacement of underground aeration piping with above ground aeration piping; and other miscellaneous items of work. The Greater Chillicothe Sanitary District of Peoria County, Illinois is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidders bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to The Greater Chillicothe Sanitary District of Peoria County, Illinois for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. 4. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
