Video Visitation Building Remodel

PN-5136-21-09 El Paso County is soliciting responses from qualified Contractors to furnish all materials and labor as necessary for the Video Visitation Building Remodel at the Criminal Justice Center. Question Acceptance Deadline 09/28/2022 03:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Employee Background Checks Required - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Work may be performed during normal working hours designated by the County Project Manager as the building will be closed to the public during the duration of the project. The County will issue the Contractor keys for access to building during construction. All workers, including sub-contractors, will need to have approved background checks before proceeding with work. The Contractor will be expected to keep the work area and surrounding property clean and free of debris during the project. The Contractor will be responsible for a roll off dumpster or haul away construction debris each day. The Contractor will provide a work schedule to the County's Project Manager. The Contractor will be expected to attend periodic OAC meetings during the project. The Contractor will obtain all necessary building permits. The Contractor will be responsible for review and understanding of all construction documents. All inquiries and questions that arise during the construction phase are to be directed to the County's Project Manager. Work to include, but not limited to, the following as per the attached drawings: Architectural: o Removal of existing interior walls, doors, counters, wok surfaces, carpet, and raised floor. o Modification of existing Acoustic Ceiling Tiles. o Relocation of existing fire alarm and smoke detectors. o Remove and return of fifteen (15) wall mounted visitation monitors to El Paso County. o Relocate existing ATM and Scheduling Kiosk in coordination with El Paso County IT o New architectural construction will consist of new steel stud and gypsum Level III ballistic wall and windows; Level III ballistic interior door with hardware; Level III exterior door with hardware; Level III ballistic exterior transaction window. o Transaction window and exterior door to be cut into existing exterior masonry wall. o New carpet and rubber base per attached drawings. o Patch, repair, and paint existing walls per attached drawings. o Patch, repair, and infill existing ceiling system per attached drawings. Mechanical: o Remove some existing ducts. o Remove existing thermostat and return grills for reuse by El Paso County. o New mechanical work will include 8-inch and 10-inch flex duct connected to existing diffusers. Plumbing: o Remove existing drinking fountain. o Install ADA Compliant Hi/Lo drinking fountain per attached drawings. Electrical: o Remove and relocate Eight (8) light fixtures. o Relocate electrical switches. o Remove power and switch legs to all fixtures being removed or relocated. o Remove and relocate some circuits back to source or nearest device. o Remove existing fire strobe. o Relocate fire strobe, extend existing conduit to new location o New ceiling mounted smoke detector. o Two (2) new Wi-Fi intercom systems. o Relocate existing light fixtures and switches. o Provide 1-1/4" conduit to data boxes with pull string for low voltage cable. o Provide new circuit to an existing outlet. o Verify outlet type for ATM and Scheduling Kiosk. o Provide new power outlet and data boxes.
