Description | Construction of the following: St. James Lift Station No. 3 Replacement: Project consists of the construction of a new wastewater lift station to replace the existing Lift Station No. 3. Improvements shall include, but not be limited to: clearing and grubbing of the existing site; selective demolition of existing facilities; bulk excavation and backfill of the site; the construction of a new reinforced concrete wetwell and valve vault structure; installation of all process and yard piping; connections of new process piping to existing facilities; concrete encasement of existing piping; installation of a new water service and flush hydrant; riprap slope lining; chain link fence; and all other incidental items. Project shall include the procurement, supply, installation, start-up and warranty of a complete submersible, non-clog centrifugal pump equipment package. Also included shall be modifications of the existing electrical distribution system necessary to operate the proposed improvements, including, but not limited to: installation of new underground electrical primary feeder; installation of owner supplied transformer and vault; new service entrance equipment and switch gear mounted on local equipment rack; secondary feeder for operation of pump equipment package; site grounding grid; etc. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. Each bidder must submit a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of their total bid. The prevailing hourly rate of wages, as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri, will be complied with on this project, and not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages as found by the agencies or Court of Appeals shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. An additional amount of $60.00 will be charged for mailing of bidding documents. |
