Description | The purpose of this Request for Quotation ("RFQ") is to invite qualified bidders to prepare and submit quotations for the Electrical Distribution Equipment associated with the Distributed Energy Resources Connect (DERConnect) testbed for the University of California, San Diego ("UC San Diego" or University"), in accordance with the requirements set forth in this RFQ. The DERConnect (Distributed Energy Resource) is a remotely accessible testbed for microgrid research that consists of a diverse set of distributed energy resources. This Agreement is for an advance purchase of equipment associated with a future construction project. This advance purchase will allow for design and fabrication to commence prior to and in concert with the construction project and schedule. To that end, the Agreement with the selected Supplier will be assigned by UC San Diego to the successful contractor for the construction project. The assignee contractor will assume the entirety of the University's role in the Agreement and will be subject to all terms of the Agreement applicable to UC San Diego. Regardless of any assignment, Supplier will not be relieved from any of the terms of the Agreement.
