Description | Additional questions: Contact Angelica Cipara via email: angelica.cipara@vdh.virginia.gov The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and materials, as necessary, to perform the services as described herein: Cost for Line Item #1 (include total cost for items A-F) These are known factors. Vendors must invoice for actual cost incurred as described herein. A) Construct a private water line connecting the subject property to the James City Service Authority (JCSA) public water line/meter in accordance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC), and all other applicable state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. B) Serving as an agent for the property owner, the contractor shall contact JCSA and fill out all necessary applications to initiate JCSA's extension of a public water line to the edge of the easement at 3105 Ironbound Rd. Williamsburg, VA 23185. Initiation of JCSA water connection shall include payment of the $5165.00 tap/connection fee. C) Upon JCSA's completion of water tap installation, contractor shall install a water line in compliance with the VUSBC from the point the water line exits the subject property's house foundation to the JCSA meter/tap. The approximately 220-245 foot private water line will begin at an approximate depth of 12-18 inches minimum exiting the house foundation, and terminate at approximately 18 inches depth at the JCSA meter/tap. The residential plumbing code requires that all fixtures have an air gap or vacuum breaker device along the water line prior to entry into the meter/tap. D) Follow all regulations and permitting pertaining to erosion and sediment control including stabilizing, seeding and grading the site after construction to return to the original state. Control construction runoff with proper practices so as not to become a nuisance to the owner or to neighboring properties or cause sediment to be discharged into state waters and drainage ditches. Any construction debris/necessary brush removal must also be removed from the site and disposed of properly. E) Bidders shall comply with all requirements of the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR) for contracting and executing the contract with the Virginia Department of Health. Licensing Requirements for Water Connection: Class A, B, or C Contractor's License from DPOR, plumber's license from DPOR. Operate within the requirements of the DPOR Board for Contractors and proof of insurance. Bidders contacted by VDH to provide any missing required documents, must provide the document within 24 business hours or their bid will be considered non-responsive. |
