Description

The City of Binghamton seeks qualification statements from professionals/consultants to develop and execute a restoration and relocation plan for the historic Ross Park Carousel. The restoration and relocation plan will address the preservation needs of both the housing structure and the carousel’s individual components (i.e. horses, chariots, poles, rounding boards, inner scenic panels, crests, and main platform decking). The restoration and relocation plan for the Ross Park Carousel will also address the feasibility of relocating the Carousel. The City of Binghamton intends to relocate the Carousel, in its entirety, to a new location within Ross Park that is upslope and approximately two-hundred fifty hundred (250) feet away.
