Removal, Repair and Replacement of the Shingle Roofs at the Dietrich Road Apartments

A. Strip off all of the existing roof shingles, nails, felt or membrane underlayment, metal drip edge, existing ridge vents, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and other flashing on all the buildings and legally dispose of all debris. Verify that the existing sheathing is in good condition, identifying for examination by the Project Manager all areas that show evidence of damaged sheathing. Should there be areas of decking, sheathing or framing deterioration as determined by direct examination and in consultation with the Project Manager these areas will be replaced at a price listed in the schedule of Unit Prices. B. Fascia: All fascia is to be removed and replaced with new lumber, primed and painted to match. C. Gutters and downspouts are to be replaced with a new system at the end of the Work. Replacement gutters and downspouts shall be installed new. They must be replaced in complete sectional runs. NO patch sections in between shall be allowed. D. Patching and Repairs- Perform all necessary patching and repairs to the items scheduled to remain.
