Description | Fitness Room Renovations at Building 'a' of the Sypek Campus as Shown in the Contract Documents Bearing the Same Name. Location- 129 Bull Run Road Pennington, New Jersey 08534 1. District intends to convert the existing Physical Education Space 137, within Building 'A', into a Fitness Room. Office and storage spaces adjacent to Rm. 137 will not be a part of these improvements. 2. Existing space is approximately 1,900 sf and originally served as a Media Center / Library Space. 3. Space shall be outfitted with new finishes including sports flooring, wall base, patch and paint of existing walls, new window treatments (manual), new ceiling tile with existing grid to be cleaned and painted. 4. Existing fluorescent lighting shall be replaced with surface-mounted LED lighting. 5. Existing clock, speakers, fire alarm devices and switches shall remain in place. 6. Existing marker, chalk and tack boards will be removed. Walls shall be patched and painted. 7. District will remove existing unused lighting track system (at ceiling) and will terminate power for same back to panel. 8. Existing HVAC system, duct distribution and controls will remain unchanged. Existing registers / grilles for supply and return air will be replaced with new. 9. Existing doors and hardware to remain. Doors to be refinished. 10. District will provide fitness equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, peloton bikes, rowing machines, free weights, leg press, machine, functional training center, and other weight systems. 11. Additional circuiting will be required for new treadmills. Other equipment requiring power will be satisfied by existing electric supply. New circuits to be run from existing panel as indicated on drawings. A. The sequence of operations shall be as noted below. Contractor must maintain the building dry during the life of the Contract and safe to Faculty, Staff and Students. Schedule and execute work to prevent leaking. 1. Project shall be awarded no later than June 22, 2022. 2. All work shall be substantially complete by August 19th, 2022 and Finally complete by August 31st, 2022. Sub-subcontractor Certificates Must Be Submitted Prior to the Sub-subcontractor Providing Goods or Services on This Project. The Bid Must Contain a Bid Security in the Amount of Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid Price, Not to Exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars, and Consent of Surety, Each in the Form and Manner Required by the Contract Documents. No Oral or Other Communications During the Bidding Process Shall Bind the Board Except as Shall Be Contained in a Written Addendum Which the Board May, in Its Sole Discretion, Issue in Accordance With Applicable Law. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31, Et Seq., and N.j.a.c. 17:27. It Is the Sole Responsibility of the Bidder to Ensure Timely Receipt of Its Bid by the Board, at the Place Designated for Opening of Bids. The Board Assumes No Responsibility Whatsoever in Connection With Any Defects Arising Out of the Issuance of the Contract Documents or Its Failure to Receive Bids at the Time and Place Required and Those Which May Arise From Delay for Any Reason in Obtaining the Contract Documents or in the Submission of a Bid, Including, but Not Limited to, Delays or Failures of Receipt Caused by Traffic Delay, Errors by Messengers, Mis-labeling, Mis-direction From Any Source Including the Board's Personnel, Mis-delivery by Common Carrier, or Any Other Reason. No Bid May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Opening Date. The Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and/or to Waive Any Informality in the Bidding, as Permitted by Law, if It Is in the Interest of the Board to Do So. When It Is in Its Best Interest to Do So and to the Maximum Extent of Its Discretion Under Applicable Law, the Board May Award the Contract in Whole or in Part, Select Any Combination of Bids and Alternates, May Waive Any Informalities, and May Reject Any or All Bids.
