Annual Asphalt Overlay Project 2022

Qualified contractors for maintenance and repair of streetlights and traffic signals throughout the City. All streets listed are to receive a 2” type “C” compacted asphaltic concrete overlay. This work shall consist of a mixture of aggregate, filler if needed, and asphalt cement prepared in a stationary plant. The several aggregate fractions shall be sized, uniformly graded, and combined in proportions according to the standard specifications for Type "C” Mix. The mixture shall be placed in one course on a prepared and tack coated concrete or asphaltic concrete base to a thickness after compaction of two inches. Performance control specifications for density and thickness are included in this contract and shall qualify payment for all asphalt overlays. This work and materials shall conform to the latest edition of the St. Louis County Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, with the exceptions of measurement, payment, performance testing, and which have been set forth in this section and in the bid form.
