Description

1. Sawcut existing bituminous pavement (full-depth) at limits of repair areas and remove existing paving. All existing paving shall be placed at a location on site as directed by the Township Roadmaster. 2. Remove existing gravel and/or subbase soil to a depth of approximately five inches (5”) within repair areas. All existing gravel and/or soil shall be placed at a location on site as directed by the Township Roadmaster. Compact gravel and/or soil within limits of work to obtain a smooth surface being five and a half inches (5.5”) below adjacent paving along the edges. 3. Mill existing paving around repair areas to limits of work to a depth of 1.5”. Milled material shall be placed at a location on site as directed by the Township Roadmaster. 4. Construct a Superpave Asphalt Base Course, 4” Depth, over repair areas. 5. Sweep milled surfaces and place tack coat. Construct a Superpave Asphalt Wearing Course, 1.5” Depth, over the entire project areas. 6. Seal along all edges of new wearing course.
