Painting and Preservation of Mezzanine Structure

JAA is seeking a licensed and bonded professional commercial painting company with a minimum of 10 years’ experience by due date of bids. This project is a 100% JSEB or DBE Certified set aside. The contractor must provide all labor, paint, materials, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to complete the services outlined below. At a minimum, the Respondent shall provide services to include, but are not limited to the services listed below: 1. All work will be done during regular hours 7am-5pm. All contractors are required to have a badge. Only working Foreman should have escort badge. See Exhibit "IT. 2. All work will be done with Brush and or rollers, no spraying of paint. Contractor is responsible for any spills and clean up anywhere around building. 3. Contractor shall conduct surface preparation to remove loose paint currently on mezzanine. Pressure washing is not an acceptable method for removal of paint. No pressure washing may be done for this project. 4. Contractor will match the existing color of the Mezzanine. JAA will approve the paint color. Paint type will be exterior Ultra Spec EXT. 5. Remove any and all debris, rust (surface and deep) from the mezzanine. 6. Where contractor finds hidden corrosion, he will notify JAA. 7. Contractor will apply rust inhibitor, primer and two coats of approved paint. 8. Once work is completed JAA personnel shall inspect and approve final project.
