Volusia County Water and Wastewater Facilities Roof Replacement

1. Remove existing copings, scuppers and cap flashing from the roof areas. 2. Remove existing aggregate surfaced built-up roof membrane and rigid insulation down to the existing fluted steel roof deck. 3. Remove pitch pan and existing support stand at generator exhaust muffler, infill hole for exhaust flue through the roof deck with a steel plate. 4. Repair and/or replace any damaged or deteriorated wood blocking per unit cost allowance. Repair any damaged steel deck areas per unit cost allowance. 5. Remove and replace primary roof drains, adjust the drain locations as necessary per the project plans to provide 24” minimum clearance from parapet walls, (match existing drain size). Replace steel roof deck as required and provide reinforcement framing below deck at all roof drains per the project details. 6. Reconnect the new drains to the existing leader piping to remain; then clean and test all existing drain leader lines to ensure they are clear and fully functional, inform owner of any drainage problems discovered. 7. Add pressure treated wood blocking along the top of the masonry parapet and plywood sheathing at the interior of the parapet per the project details to create a smooth, nailable substrate for the new base flashing and coping cap.
