Fill Stone to Burns Waterway Harbor and Stone to Illinois Beach State Park in Support of the Pilot Coastal Protection Chicago District Operations and Maintenance Program. Furnish & Delivery to Waukegan Harbor FFP IDOT RR-7 size (12lb to 1,000lb) . The work to be completed includes the supply and delivery of granite, quartzite, gabbro, diabase, basalt, or granodiorite stone materials. The stone material includes quarter to one (0.25 – 1) ton (500 pounds to 2,000 pounds) stones and IDOT RR-7 (12lb – 1,000lb) stone. The Contractor shall deliver stone only by means of marine transportation to these two locations. The Contractor shall deliver stone to Burns Waterway Harbor in deck barges with a maximum load of 1,250 tons of stone per barge. Due to the limited depth of the placement area for the Illinois Beach State Park artificial reef, the Contractor shall deliver stone to Waukegan Harbor in deck barges that are 40’ wide by 200’ long with a maximum load of 1,200 tons of stone per barge.
