Description

SUMMARY OF WORK: The Richmond partial re-roof project is a major overhaul and retrofit of the Richmond school located 2276 SE 41st Ave, Portland, OR 97214. The school is a single story, wood frame building, originally constructed in 1951 with an addition built in 1980. This project will replace a portion of the school building roof with a new roof system. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS OR CLARIFICATIONS March 14, 2023 ANTICIPATED WORK START May 17, 2023 FIRST-TIER SUBCONTRACTOR DISCLOSURE DUE March 28, 2023 FINAL ADDENDA DEADLINE March 21, 2023 A certified check or cashier check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the submitted Bid, which has been executed in favor of Portland Public Schools, School District No. 1J, Multnomah County, Oregon, 501 North Dixon Street, Portland, Oregon 97227, shall accompany each Bid exceeding $100,000 as per Section 00 21 13, 1.02, C.Bid bond and irrevocable letter of credit may be provided electronically with bid submittal if using electronically . If selected as the apparent lowest responsive and responsible bidder, an original must be provided prior to Contract award. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. FULL REROOF OF MAIN SCHOOL BUILDING, ADDITION NOT INCLUDED. 2. LOWER EXISTING CHIMNEY AT MAIN SCHOOL BUILDING. 3. REPAIR LEAKAGE AT ADDITION. 4. REPLACE EXISTING ACCESS LADDER AND ROOF HATCHES. 5. PROVIDE LIGHTING, FLOOR SHEATHING, AND WOOD RAIL IN ATTIC. 6. REPLACE EXISTING GUARDRAIL ON ROOF 7. ADD NEW ROOF ANCHORS AND HORIZONTAL LIFE LINE The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a Contract with the District as per Section 00 52 13 Agreement Form and obtain and maintain insurance and bonding as per Section 00 61 13 Performance Bond, Section 00 61 14 Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Section 00 52 13 Agreement Form. The successful Bidder shall obtain a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond issued by a surety which is authorized to transact surety business in the State of Oregon and which has an A.M. Best A or better rating.
