Description | Project Canceled per owner Construction of a two unit box hangar and construction of aprons for box hangars Includes the following approximate quantities: 322 SY of 6" PCC Pavement, 322 SY of 6" Granular Base, 1 LS Pre-Engineered Hangar Building, 2-Bay, 42' x 80' (Including Electrical in Hangar), with an alternate for 1 LS Utility Extensions in Hangar (Water and Sanitary Sewer), and an alternate for 1 LS Pre-Engineered Hangar Building, 80' x 80' (Including Electrical in Hangar). Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Commission, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. Shop drawings for approval of the hangar building shall be submitted no greater than Thirty (30) Calendar Days following final execution of the project contract by all parties. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete on or before One Hunded Twenty (120) Calendar Days following arrival of the hangar building components (structural steel, sheeting, doors) on-site. Contractor shall share all correspondence regarding anticipated delivery timeframe of the hangar components with the Owner and Engineer. Damages in the amount of $200.00 per Calendar Day will be assessed for each Calendar Day the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code in the amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total amount of the bid . Preference shall be given to domestic construction materials by the contractor, subcontractors, material, men, and suppliers in performance of the contract and further, by virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes.
